About Us
Cornerstone Community Based Programs (CCBPS) an extension of Cornerstone Family Worship Center Church, exists to provide invaluable resources and information to the citizens of Beaufort County, North Carolina. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of families who experience negative barriers that prevent positive outcomes towards a good quality of life.
Our programs focuses are health, wellness and fitness, (Beaufort County Health Clergy, Congregations and Communities (BCH3C); positive parenting skills (FUN Nurturing Parenting Programs) and Cornerstone Community Learning Center (After-school and Summer Programs).
We are committed to the process of assisting our citizens to achieve success through our collaborations with various community partners who support our efforts.

President / CEO
Bishop Dr. James S. McIntyre Sr. serves as Senior Pastor of the Cornerstone Family Worship Center Church of God, in Washington North Carolina and President / CEO of Cornerstone Community Based Programs.
Bishop McIntyre earned his BS degree with concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling, Master and Doctoral of Theology Degrees from Christian Life School of Theology, Columbus GA.
Doctor McIntyre is the President Chief Executive Officer of all Cornerstone subordinate ministries and Community Based Programs, i.e. The Cornerstone 21st Century Community Learning Center; Cornerstone Families Understanding Nurturing / Parent Support Group Programs and Cornerstone Healthy Clergy, Congregations and Communities Program. He is also an International Consultant and Trainer of Trainers for Nurturing Parenting Skills Programs.

Programs Manager
Shirley Roberson serves as the Community Based Programs Manager at Cornerstone Family Worship Center, Washington, North Carolina.
Shirley graduated from North Pitt High School, Bethel North Carolina in 1984. After graduating she attended Pitt Community College, Greenville, North Carolina, majoring in Business Administration.
In 1996, she attended Beaufort Community College, Washington, North Carolina where she received certification as a Nursing Assistant. Graduating with an A average in the top four percent of her class.
Returning to school after much consideration she has received her Bachelor degree in Business Science with concentration in Business Administration and Business Management from the University of Mount Olive. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s in Theology at Christian Life School of Theology.
Shirley serves on several boards in her community. She is one of the Co-chairs of HEAL {Healthy Eating Active Living), member of Department of Juvenile Justice (JCPC) and Beaufort County Community Collaborative.
She is also an Elder at her church and serves as Discipleship Coordinator, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the church Advisory Board.
She loves spending time with her family, shopping and her favorite place is the beach. She loves meeting new people, working in her community, and helping those that she encounters.
Shirley is a native of Beaufort County, North Carolina. She is the wife of Carlton Roberson. A loving mother with two beautiful children, Sabre and Khali and two grandchildren which she adores, Jirah and Averie.
